Post-Event Report: THE LOGE Ryder Cup 2024

 

 

On the 20th and 21st of September 2024, the first-ever THE LOGE Ryder Cup took place, leaving a lasting impression on all participants and spectators. The tournament was held at the renowned Golfclub Fontana and the Leading Golfclub Brunn am Gebirge. With sunny and warm weather, two highly motivated teams faced off:

Team East, led by Captain Thomas Laaber, and Team West, under the command of Captain Tobias Rieser.

 

🏌️‍♂️ The Competition:

 

The first day of the tournament began on the challenging course of Golfclub Fontana. Both teams engaged in a thrilling duel, with Team East pulling ahead early with a 5:0 lead. The players displayed impressive shots, and the harmony within the teams was palpable.

 

On the second day, the venue shifted to the Leading Golfclub Brunn am Gebirge. Both teams continued to show athletic ambition and team spirit, but ultimately, Team East secured the win with a score of 9:6. The strategic leadership of Captain Thomas Laaber, combined with the cohesive teamwork, paid off in the end.

 

🎉 Social Events:

 

Aside from the sporting competition, the social aspect of the event did not fall short. On Friday evening, all participants enjoyed food, drinks, and music at the Brunner Wiesn. This convivial gathering greatly contributed to the excellent atmosphere and strengthened team spirit. On Saturday, after the final round, the awards ceremony took place at the Golfclub Brunn am Gebirge, where Team East was celebrated as the well-deserved winner.

 

🔖 Conclusion:

 

The first THE LOGE Ryder Cup 2024 was a tremendous success. Both teams demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and tireless effort. The combination of sunny weather, top-tier golf courses, and a well-organized social program made for an event that exceeded all expectations. A special congratulations goes to Team East and their Captain Thomas Laaber for their well-earned victory.

 

We are already looking forward to the next edition of this fantastic tournament! Tobias Rieser is already planning the rematch, scheduled for September 18-21 in Tyrol, likely to be held in the Kitzbühel area.
