PROject GOLFworld is led by golf professionals Marcel Haremza and Christoph Günther. Together, these Fully Qualified Professionals of the PGA of Germany have won over 60 national and international professional titles in their careers and have competed in tournaments on almost every continent. Both have turned their passion into a profession, utilizing 20 years of golf experience to develop new ideas and concepts for golf-loving amateurs and businesses.

PROject GOLFworld offers a broad range of diverse services in the golf industry. These include the personal organization and guidance of global golf trips, hosting their own professional tournaments with Pro Am events around Munich, managing and coaching top German golfers across various tours, and acting as brand ambassadors for several exclusive partners.

Additionally, PROject GOLFworld offers its own PROject GOLFclub, providing exclusive support to members; the creation of the “Short Track Matchplay” format, along with organizing and marketing the tournament series in multiple countries; and, of course, the PROject GOLFacademy, led by Steffen Kefer, with locations in Germany, Mauritius, and Curacao.

Playing Conditions
The game will be played according to the official rules of the R&A Golf Club of St. Andrews, the current tournament conditions of the PGA of Germany, and the course rules of the tournament venue. Any necessary special course rules will be announced on-site.

Eligibility
Max. 28 teams – Each team consists of one professional and three amateurs.

Professionals:

Members of the PGA regional association of Bavaria
Members of the PGA of Germany working in Bavaria
Invitations by the organizer

Amateurs:

Members of a DGV-recognized golf club with a handicap index of +36.0 or better
Invitations from PGA Bavaria

Format of Play
Team competition – Combination of choice drive and best ball
Pro individual ranking – Stroke play

Scoring
Team Scoring (Double Prize Exclusion):
Prizes in the gross category for the top 2 teams
Prizes in the net category for the top 6 teams
Individual Scoring for Professionals:
The top third of professionals will receive prize money.
In case of a tie for 1st place in the Pro individual ranking, a sudden-death playoff will occur. For all other ties, players will share the same position, and the prize money will be split.

The competition counts towards the annual “Race to Curacao” ranking for PGA Bayern members, as well as for women, seniors, and others.

Rosapenna Ireland Links Challenge, August 27 – September 3, 2023

Location: Rosapenna, Ireland

Every two years, we are delighted to include one of Europe’s best golf destinations in our program.

The Rosapenna Golf Resort in northern Ireland offers breathtaking links golf on three 18-hole courses, with St. Patrick’s Links already ranked among the top 50 courses in the world just two years after its opening.

All three courses at the resort will be played, with meals and drinks available at the hotel or in nearby pubs and restaurants. The Casey family runs the resort in the second generation, bringing warmth and Irish hospitality to ensure unforgettable stays.

The main focus is on playing these three outstanding courses, with training and/or sightseeing available each afternoon. A small competition on the final two rounds will crown the Rosapenna Links Champion.

Argentina Tour, November 15 – 29, 2023

Location: Argentina

Argentina is more than just football, tango, and beef. This breathtaking country in South America is rich in culture, endless landscapes, friendly people, and yes, magnificent golf courses. Together with South America Tour veterans Christoph Günther and Marc Amort, we embark on a unique journey from Buenos Aires, through the wine region around Mendoza, to the mystical depths of Patagonia. We explore the capital city’s districts, taste the country’s finest wines, immerse ourselves in the magic of tango, and play on some of Argentina’s most beautiful courses amid the country’s spectacular natural settings.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Wed, 15.11. Arrival in Buenos Aires. Welcome at the airport by the tour guide and transfer to LoiSuites Recoleta. Welcome dinner at Fervor, a grill restaurant just 400m from the hotel.

Day 2 – Thu, 16.11. After breakfast, transfer to Olivos Golf (approx. 45 min). The 27-hole Olivos Golf course is one of Argentina’s best.

Day 3 – Fri, 17.11. Breakfast and private city tour with a German-speaking guide. Buenos Aires is a fascinating metropolis with influences from various major European cities. With its charming avenues, parks, monumental buildings, cafes, museums, and churches spread across 26 districts, each with its own unique charm, Buenos Aires has a truly cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Day 4 – Sat, 18.11. Breakfast and transfer to the domestic airport – flight to San Martin de los Andes in Patagonia’s northern region. Check-in at LoiSuites Chapelco right at Chapelco GC. The afternoon is free to explore San Martin de los Andes on the shore of Lácar Lake.

Day 5 – Sun, 19.11. Breakfast and golf at Chapelco GC. Evening transfer to San Martin de los Andes for dinner.

Day 6 – Mon, 20.11. Breakfast and a round at the nearby Greg Norman-designed El Desafio GC. Evening in San Martin de los Andes.

Day 7 – Tue, 21.11. Drive south along Ruta 40, also known as the “Camino de los 7 Lagos” (Route of the Seven Lakes), with stunning scenic views. Lunch stop at Nahuel Huapi Lake before heading to Bariloche.

Day 8 – Wed, 22.11. Breakfast and golf at Llao Llao GC, followed by a free afternoon and evening at the hotel.

Day 9 – Thu, 23.11. Golf at Arelauquen GC and lunch at the clubhouse before a scenic return drive to the hotel.

Day 10 – Fri, 24.11. Flight to Mendoza, Argentina’s wine heartland, with a two-night stay at Diplomatic Hotel. Free afternoon to explore.

Day 11 – Sat, 25.11. Golf at Club de Campo GC followed by a wine tasting at Trapiche winery.

Day 12 – Sun, 26.11. Second round at Club de Campo GC.

Day 13 – Mon, 27.11. Wine experience at Valle de Uco, including tours of two wineries and lunch at Andeluna Winery.

Day 14 – Tue, 28.11. Last round of golf at Buenos Aires GC, followed by free time in the afternoon.

Day 15 – Wed, 29.11. Departure.
