Golfclub Linsberg
About the Golfcourse
Linsberg Golf is a modern golf course, particularly proud of holes 10 to 14, which are the first true links-style fairways in Lower Austria.
This is achieved through the typical Scottish pot bunkers and the hard fairways, which give the course its special character. Linsberg Golf shows a completely different face on holes 2, 3, 9, and 18, where large ponds provide special challenges. However, holes 4, 5, 6, and 15 are more typical of Föhrenwald, being located near the forest.
The flat terrain allows for relaxed rounds of golf. A young golf course that is already in good condition. Not too long fairways. Perfect for players with high handicaps. The gastronomy is very friendly.
18-hole course
Characteristics
Jeff Howes, a Canadian-Irish architect who also completely redesigned the neighboring partner club GC Föhrenwald, was hired to design the Linsberg Golf course.
In the design of Linsberg Golf, characteristic elements of a links course were used to recreate the original and challenging golf courses of Great Britain. The local landscape of Wiener Neustadt-Land provides the ideal conditions for this.
Although Linsberg Golf has the classic features of a links course, it is a modern golf club that offers players many amenities. The course is flat and has water hazards that make the game more challenging and exciting.
